It seems that Sony mobile isn’t behind the race of launching smartphones with mesmerising features. Today the company has announced Sony Xperia 5 II which inherits traits from the Sony Xperia 1 Mark II. Sony Xperia 5 II will be available in the market in four colour options.
Sony Xperia 5 II Features
It is an Android 10 operating system based smartphone, which sports a 6.1 inch OLED screen with HD+ resolution of 1,080×2,520 pixels along with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch scanning rate. The screen has 21:9 aspect ratio with support of HDR that offers you 100 per cent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space. Under the hood, we have an octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC and 8GB of RAM.
To capture images and videos, the phone offers a triple camera setup on the back. The structure includes a 12 MP primary shooter with an f/1.7 lens and another 12 MP camera with an f/2.4 lens and a 12-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle f/2.2 lens. But on the front, you will get an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens, which is perfectly placed in the top bezels.
In the storage department, the Xperia 5 II offers 128 GB internal storage; later you can increase it up to 1TB via microSDXC card.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone can receive 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth 5.1 frequencies. To supply the power juice to all body parts, the handset has a 4000 mAh battery with fast charging support.
As per the official claims, the smartphone will complete 50% charging in just 30 minutes.
Price and Availability
The Sony Xperia 5 II 8GB + 128GB storage variant is priced at EUR 899. In the European market, you’ll get Black, Blue and Grey colour options. Meanwhile, in the US market, you’ll have Black, Blue, Grey, and Pink colour options. Initially, the phone will go on sale in the European market from Autumn 2020. Though, we don’t have any official availability date.
All the Americans will be able to book a unit of Sony Xperia 5 II from December 4 at $949.
